DeitiesZyphed Zyphed, the Righteous God Known to some as the righteous god or the beneficent god, most simply know him as the holy protector of truth. He is the defender of the righteous and slayer of the infidel. While he rules over those who seek to do right and casts down the evil he is neither a kind god nor is he vengeful, he simply is. His very nature makes him such the grey in everyday life that disappears into black and white, good and evil, right and wrong. His followers are the natural enemy of Belgariat's followers. Belgariat, the Trickster Belgariat is the trickster, god of evil, and taker of souls. He brings forth the foulest of black hearts and commands them to do his bidding. Only those of the deepest evil may fully appreciate his blessing. To have even a stray thought towards the path of the righteous is to be forever rejected by Belgariat. Vesipidas, the Mother of Life She is the mother of life, the green goddess, and the protector of nature. She is neither good nor evil but something else all her own. She is the spring rain, the fall breeze, the summer's kiss, and the winter's chill. Those who follow Vesipidas worship nature and shun the city. A cool breeze in a meadow of wild flowers is mother's milk to them. Airenzer, the Acidic God The first of the old gods, Airenzer, was cast out of his native land and send adrift for aeons before coming to rest in the Lands of Aethar. While still young as a god to Aethar, his power is ancient beyond belief. The very substance of acid is his to control. To scour away enemies in a bath that eats armor, flesh, and bone is the way of his followers. Solari, the Animate God Second of the old gods come to Aethar, Solari controls the very energy that is an abundant part of every living thing. Gaseous and insubstantial though her physical form may be, she is all powerful when it comes to energy. Ergantus, God of Kinetic Energy The third of the new gods come to Aethar was Ergantus, King of all electric disciplines. With a single word he can call fourth powerful bolts of electricity with such ferocity that the very blood of his victims boils and bursts from their skin like overripe fruit left in the sun. Samar, God of the Mind Samar is the God of the mind. His very thought is transformed into reality and his followers are those who look into themselves, for their true power lies within. The disciplines of the mind are his fortress and life. With supreme concentration his followers may achieve feats of body that no other could conceive of. Demiviys, the Unseen Little is known of this strange and secretive god, save for that his power is awesome and his followers must walk a dark path to forever set themselves against others. They are outcasts and must band together or fight for supremacy. A follower of Demiviys must keep careful watch for another of his fellows may plant a poisoned knife in his back. God of poison and reptilian in nature, only those that maintain their dangerous walk may follow Demiviys. |
